Bob Chucci (pronounced Chuck-E) started his business in 1983 in a modest two-stall garage while teaching advanced auto repair in a local high school and during his spare time.
Bob attended and was certified at auto technical schools sponsored by General Motors Corporation and Chrysler Motors Corporation.
With his involvement and teaching high school auto repairs and his special schooling in technical auto mechanics, Bob was instrumental in placing local young people (men and women) in apprenticeship programs at various auto dealerships within the East Texas area.
In 1997, Bob Chucci built a permanent shop building, which Bob has expanded on three times. His most recent expansion was for his Rod and Custom business as well as car restorations, which is now a full time operation with a team of qualified employees.
With the expansion of Chucci's Rod and Custom and his car restoration business and to met a new demand of customers wanting to purchase parts for their own Rod and Custom work at home, in 2007 Bob built another building adjacent to his shop for Street Rod Parts and Accessories. This new facility services both the general public with parts sales but manages and supplies parts to Chucci's Rod and Custom business.
The new parts building offers three service bays.
- One bay with lift allowing his crew to offer complete street rod and classic car service,
- Grease and oil changes,
- Air Conditioning services,
- Plus any special needs his customers require.
Chucci's new facility offers rentals on climate-controlled stalls to customers for their special vehicle storage needs.
Chucci's Rod & Custom is a proud member of SEMA, ARMO, and GOODGUYS!
